Online Bidding with Greater Giving


What You Can Expect

This year’s auction will use Greater Giving Online Bidding – allowing for a paperless bidding system. You will bid using your smartphone or tablet on silent auction items. Also, you can easily track Packages by “following” their activity without having to continuously return to a table or bid sheet.

How to Mobile Bid with Greater Giving Online Bidding

  1. Register your mobile number and credit card information on our registration page in advance of the event or upon arrival.
  2. When the auction is open, you will receive an automated ‘Welcome’ text with your bidder link.
  3. After clicking the link in the text, begin searching for packages by name, number, or category
  4. Select the package you wish to bid on.
  5. You can Bid the next increment or Bid More than the next increment
  6. If you choose to Bid More you can choose to set your Max Bid. If your max bid is the highest, the system will automatically bid in your favor until you are outbid or until the silent auction closes. If your bid is lower than the highest max bid on that package, you will be prompted to enter a higher bid.
  7. To purchase a package at the Buy Now price, select the Buy button.
  8. To "watch" a package, select the star icon on the package.
  9. To make a donation, select the Donation button on your home screen and choose a preset amount or select the Custom Amount button to enter the amount you wish to donate.
  10. If you’re out-bid at any point before the silent auction closes, you will receive a text message.
  11. To view packages you are bidding on, click the menu button and select Bids.
  12. To view packages you are watching, click the menu button and select Favorites.
  13. Once the auction closes, the guest with the highest bid will win.
  14. Under the Bids area you can check your winning packages.

Please join us at Bishop Kearney on Saturday, November 14th for our 2020 BK Crosses & Crowns Gala: BreaKING Boundaries - Building Our Legacy which will be an incredibly unique event, like you have never seen before! Keeping with our construction theme and reflecting our commitment to social responsibility in the Age of Covid, our 2020 Gala will be a very casual event. What does that mean? No tuxes. No high heels. Instead, break out your favorite flannels from the 90s to pair with your best pair of Wranglers and work boots!

 

THERE WILL BE THREE OPTIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
- Entire event In-person
- Access to online auction/program only
- Access to online auction/program plus pick up dinner
 
IN-PERSON EVENT:

- The evening begins at 5:00pm with Valet Parking. You will enter into an enormous, heated tent on the front lawn. Thank you, Dimarco Constructors, Admar Supply and Spatola Party Rental, for making this happen! Wine, beer and prepackaged appetizers will be available inside the tent until 6:45pm. During cocktail hour you will also be able to browse auction items in the foyer and gymnasium.

- At 7:00pm, Guests will move indoors where they will be seated with a small, socially distant group in their own private dining (class)room to receive a delicious, contact-free dinner,. The delicious dinners, provided by the legendary Guido's Pasta Villa, will be prepackaged and individually served in an insulated, logo’d take home bag. Entertainment will be provided by BK Alumnus Dan Viola, Class of '84, via BK CCTV.

 

- At 8:00pm, guests will return to the outdoor tent where the bars will reopen, and we will host the exciting live auction and paddle call.

IN-PERSON Gala Tickets are $125/per person and $200/per couple 
*Everyone precaution is being put in place to ensure the safety of our guests. Masks must be worn when social distancing cannot be maintained.

VIRTUAL AUCTION ONLY: 
 Access to the silent auction will begin at 5:00pm on Thursday, November 12th. This $50 ticket allows anyone in your household to login and bid on the many wonderful items including gift certificates, unique experiences and high-end gifts.

VIRTUAL AUCTION & DINNER TO-GO:
 Access to silent auction plus to-go dinner from Pasta Villa. Pick-up will be from 6:30pm – 7:30pm at the back entrance. Signs will be clearly marking which door to stop by. Dinners will be in souvenir insulated bags. You must purchase auction pass along with dinner. Dinners are $25 each.
